How To Balance Work Life & Home Life
The top complaints I hear from clients are feeling overwhelmed, unappreciated, and tired. Why is this? Why is it that so many women feel this way. I’ll tell you what I have come up with, because we spend so much of our time taking care of others before taking care of ourselves. So how can we start to balance our life?
Let’s begin, everyone is different and is living a unique life. Here is the one thing that everyone can do to have work life balance. The key is to prioritize yourself, I will repeat that, the key is to prioritize yourself! If you’re not taking care of yourself first then there is no balance, you’re simply putting the needs of others above yourself. Which will intern take away from your sanity, your health, and what you can give to others will inevitably be less and less. It is like burning the candle from both ends, and we all know that candle will soon burn out.
So… Pause for yourself and let’s get you some immediate action.
I want you to come up with a list of three things that you can do for yourself on a daily basis, just for you! The purpose of this exercise is to start strengthening that muscle of self-care so you start to experience the balance in life you deserve.
Take a few minutes and jot down three things below.
Here are some additional thoughts as you start to develop your self-care ideas. How is your physical health? Do you have quiet time in your life? Are you remembering to breathe throughout the day when emotions are heightened? Do you have space to be creative? How are your relationships?

Now, I want you to envision what it is like to wake up in the morning feeling refreshed and excited and doing those three things that are so important to you. Think about how your day will flow once you’ve already taken care of yourself. The small things that may normally trigger you and snowball into frustration, anxiety, and an overall feeling of unresolved purpose will dissipate as you strengthen your self-care.
So commit to doing this for yourself, your future, and if nothing else for the people around you that depend on you.
As always, mahalo & nā ho’omaika’i! (Thank you & congratulations)!
