Surrounding Yourself With Your Tribe. Why Is It So Important?
Your vibe attracts your tribe. Who you surround yourself with, will be how you identify yourself.
Have you ever noticed how the people in your life make you feel? When you are around them do they automatically make you question your judgment and suck the life out of you? Or, do they make you want to be a better version of yourself and make you feel safe to be all that you want? If you haven’t ever thought about it then I encourage you to spend time doing some self-reflection on this. If this is a challenge for you, take a look at yourself in the mirror after spending time with someone and how you feel is written all over your face.
Do you see a special glow or does your expression look dull and depleted? The answer to “should be around this person or not”, will be written all over your face.
Attracting the right people to be around is so important for your cognitive health as well as your connection with your soul's mission. According to Jennifer Cohen, a former contributor that wrote an article for Forbes states that not only surrounding yourself with the right people is helpful, but it also changes everything in your life for the better. She highlights the importance of surrounding yourself with those who are better than you at a certain skill set because it makes you work harder and think faster. So if you’re wanting to double down on your business skills or personal relationship skills, then find someone who is better at it than you and spend more time with them. They will force you to grow and it will be a game changer in more way than one.
It’s okay to outgrow your circle of friends and want a different quality in the people who you surround yourself with. Finding your tribe can mean the difference between being stuck in the past and becoming the person you have always wanted to be. Instead of wanting to fit in with old friends that make you feel comfortable, challenge yourself so you elevate your life.
The desire to find like-minded others is hard wired inside of us. I challenge you to go out and meet new people that push you past your comfort zone of “like minded” and fuel your growth into being the person you want to become. You will thank yourself for all the hard work later!
So go! Go out and meet at least three new people a week. You will find your tribe!
As always mahalo and nā ho’omaika’i! (Thank you & congratulations)!
