How To Pivot With Your Purpose in Mind!
We all have a sense of self-awareness, some have strengthened this awareness more so than others. However, none of this matters unless you are actively living in joy and purpose. Notice I say JOY and not happiness, happiness is a result of consistent living in joy. What you do with that awareness will fundamentally change how you experience the world and the rest of your life.
The truth is you have probably led a very successful life up until this point, but you are ready for a shift into a more meaningful life, career, or relationship. You know this because you have been experiencing signs. They start out as little signs like, not wanting to engage in conversations with co-workers or longing for more independence, structure, and responsibility. Then the signs turn into alarms in your head or in your body. For example: do you find yourself getting sick more often or you notice that your energy is depleted by being around people or certain situations.
Have the signs been getting bigger and bolder or the alarms in your head and body getting louder? So many of us have come to the realization that how we've been living our lives has become unmanageable. And we haven’t been living them in a way that serves humanity or ourselves. Our dreams are calling us to wake up and take action.
So with this realization comes a pivot, the moment in your life when you decide that you are ready to be living your life’s purpose and dreams. When we use our healing as a barometer of future possibilities we tend to favor the familiar. Don’t get stuck! You will need to connect to something greater.
I know that this can be daunting to say the least, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. So let’s break this down into manageable steps, I want to set you up for success here.
As a close mentor always said, “So what, now what!”.
What is the bigger picture of your existence? Why are you here on this planet right now? What are you most passionate about? What brings you joy in your life?
Use the skills that you have been working on your entire life to do something meaningful. You have a vast array of knowledge and skill sets. Pair them with what excites you and get training in areas where you need to.
Forgive yourself for not doing what you set out to do originally. Many of us have changed course throughout life and that’s okay. Surrender to the idea that somehow you failed because you didn’t achieve your past goals especially if you still hear that voice in the back of your head telling you that you didn’t amount up or you are not good enough.
Test out what you have come up with in step 1. See what you think after testing the waters and if it’s not a hell yes then it’s a hell no! Keep pushing even when all the negative thinking comes up.
Get accountability around what you want to accomplish. Your goals become a lot more real when you decide to tell someone else what it is that you’re doing. This doesn’t mean telling everyone that you come into contact with what your goals are, but tell someone that supports your vision for your future and ask them for accountability around your weak points.
So what is that invention you have been wanting to create or lifestyle choice you have been wanting to make?
People are waiting for you to show up in this world! Go achieve your goals. If you want expert support and coaching, I am here for you.
As always mahalo and nā ho’omaika’i! (Thank you & congratulations)!
