Bring awareness to your life.
Awareness -
State of awareness is a choice. You get to make this choice right now. What accountability do you hold for yourself on a daily basis?
Do you spend a large amount of time thinking about what you should get done? Do you focus on past conversations or situations that you have no control over? This will cause both depression and anxiety for you. Please STOP harming yourself this way.
Let’s be vulnerable for a moment and honestly take inventory of where each one of us is at. Notice where there is room for improvement…How much time do you really waste not being in the present moment?
We all have a sense of greater purpose and to make a contribution in this world. YES?!?
Spending your day in awareness will allow the wheels to move in a purposeful direction, YES?!? Bringing awareness to your thoughts is a great habit to build; as they often become feelings and turn into your daily actions.
Address -
What is it that you want in your life? What is your real “why” for wanting what you do?
Go as deep as you can with the “why” until you have answered it and feel complete. This process will allow you to uncover your real reason for wanting to make the changes in your life that you want to. It will be so deep that you will have some kind of body reaction (goosebumps, tears, a huge smile).
Ex: I want to be rich -> why do you want to be rich?
I don’t want to work all the time -> why don’t you want to work all the time?
I want more time for family -> why do you want more time for family?
I am afraid that I will miss those precious moments and not be able to get them back -> THERE IS THE REAL “WHY”!
Amend -
Now answer this.. Why do you not already have what you want in life?
I would guess the answer to this question is because there has not previously and correctly been an emphasis on identifying the negative thought pattern. The one that spins round and round till we have numbed out and made zero progress.
It’s time to amend this behavior.
Over time bringing awareness to your thoughts will quickly bring you back to the present moment and realign you with your deepest desires. You will catch yourself from wasting your time not taking action that is in your best interest. If you are moving in the direction towards your ultimate want you will start to see real change in your life. It is simply a muscle that you need to work. You can control your mind and once you start it will become your new habit.
Suggestion: Keep your “why” in mind. Write it down and make it visible to remind you throughout the day. Inevitably you will be faced with making a decision to continue your new habit or return to old patters. Having your why in front of you will remind you in those moments to push forward.
Thoughts create Feelings = Feelings create Actions = Actions create Results.
